Your charter includes bottled water, ice, fuel, bait, fishing rods and tackle, fishing license, and fish cleaning.
Bananas are bad luck on a boat. So please do not bring bananas of any kind. No banana chips, banana taffy, bananas in a fruit salad. Just say no to bananas.
Gratuity: The crew works very hard to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable trip. It is customary to tip the deck hand 15 to 20 percent. Although not expected, many will bring a little something for the captain, too.
Yes, but please remember it is often hot out there and it's easy to get dehydrated and/or overindulge.
Safety is always our number one goal so remember to drink responsibly and stay hydrated.
For the safety of our passengers, the crew, and the boat, at the sole discretion of the captain he may ask a passenger to stop drinking and hydrate. Failure of a guest to comply may result in the termination of the charter, an immediate return to the dock, and forfeiture of your charter fees.
Have fun and be safe.
The weather changes often, and quickly in Destin, so it's always good to be prepared with the right clothing and gear.
The captain will keep a watchful eye on the weather and will determine if it is safe and nice enough for you to enjoy the trip.
The call to cancel due to weather is often not made until the last minute. If your trip is canceled by the captain prior to leaving the dock, you will receive a full refund.
If you are concerned about the weather, it is best to show up at the boat and let the captain make the final decision. Too often the weather report is wrong and it turns out to be a beautiful day.
If the trip is cut short due to weather you will receive a prorated refund based on the length of the trip.
Yes! We understand that it is hot on the docks, so you are welcome to stay on the boat until we are finished cleaning your catch.
Yes, we highly recommend making a reservation so we can help you plan and prepare to get the most out of your charter.
If you're having too much fun to return to the dock, you can add time to your charter. Just talk to the captain or mate while on the charter and they will be happy to accommodate if possible.
Payment for all charter fees and any additional add-on packages will be due and collected on the day of your charter via cash or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover).
Customary gratuity is 15 to 20 percent for the first mate. And though not expected, something for the captain in appreciation of an exceptional charter is a nice gesture.
Cancellations with at least 7 days of notice: There will be no penalty and no charge to your credit card on file.
Cancellations with less than 7 days of notice: 50% of your charter fee will be charged to your credit card on file.
Cancellation with less than 24 hours of notice and no shows: 100% of your charter fees plus any add-on packages ordered will be charged to your credit card on file.
Cancellation by the captain: If your charter is canceled by the captain due to bad weather, unfavorable seas, or mechanical issues, there will be no cost to you. We will attempt to re-schedule your charter for a future date. Charters cut short due to weather or other unforeseen reasons will be prorated based on hours of service.
